Miss United Nations Pageant  is a perfect platform for social welfare activities and I could not think of any other pageant that could help me enrich my curriculum with host of deeds and undertakings.  Ms  United Nations 2017 is my biggest achievement. Being an individual, being a mother, being a wife and being a professional I have many roles to play in life, but being Ms United Nations excites me the most. Whatever I do or contribute all are the outcomes of my achievement and that’s what matters.

World Class Beauty Queens: Please tell us about yourself.
I did my BA HONs and MBA. Although my paternal family wanted me to take up medical but I always had diverse dreams, which I knew would never fit in their scheme of things.  However as I was always focused on what I wanted to do in life I started driving my objectives. If you believe in a position or a profession, start visualizing yourself in that position. If you do it every day your body energies and mind waves will start redirecting all your efforts in a coordinated manner towards that very goal. This is what I am and will continue to be.

World Class Beauty Queens: Why did you choose to compete in this pageant?
Miss United Nations Pageant  is a perfect platform for social welfare activities and I could not think of any other pageant that could help me enrich my curriculum with host of deeds and undertakings.

World Class Beauty Queens: Tell us about your pageant history.
I participated in an Indian beauty pageant Mrs South Asia India 2017, which included participants from South Asian countries and won the Title of Ms India United Nations 2017.  Post that I represented India at Ms United Nations Pageant, defeating 35 hopeful finalists from across the world to become Ms United Nations 2017, in the grand finale held at Courtleigh Auditorium, 8 St Lucia Avenue, Kingston, Jamaica.

World Class Beauty Queens:  To those unfamiliar with your pageant system please tell us what is it about?
MUNP is one of the most respected beauty pageants. It has its own principles that lay down the foundation of evaluation and selection of titles through fair and ethical practices. All representatives have an equal opportunity to showcase what they are capable off along with their cultural integrity.

World Class Beauty Queens:  What are you being judged on during the competition?
During the competition representatives are being judged on personality traits, fitness, intelligence, talent and knowledge of sensitive issues in their own country and worldover.

World Class Beauty Queens: What inspired you to do your first pageant?
At First, It was my dream.  At later stage I realized it was all about self-confidence and breaking the stereotype.

World Class Beauty Queens: Tell us about your platform.
In realm it all about communication skills, leadership qualities, interviews and poise leading to survival of the fittest mind and body.

World Class Beauty Queens: Tell us about your amazing welcome home.
I was welcomed by host of Press and Media and family members with great applauds and warmth showcased by community leaders and people. With over 500 well-wishers waiting at home to welcome me. So in one word it was Grand.

World Class Beauty Queens: What appearances have you done with your title?
My appearances are focuses on social welfare program. It is immaterial whether the scale is big or small. The intent is always larger than life. I have been associated with programs like Tree Plantation, girl child education, women empowerment and many more which I have prioritized basis on the need of the day.

World Class Beauty Queens: What are some of you achievements?
Ms  United Nations 2017 is my biggest achievement. Being an individual, being a mother, being a wife and being a professional I have many roles to play in life, but being Ms United Nations excites me the most. Whatever I do or contribute all are the outcomes of my achievement and that’s what matters.

World Class Beauty Queens: How does education plays a role in your life?
Education plays the most important role in my life or anyone’s life per say. It the biggest tutor that provides wisdom to making right decision in life. I value education the most and consider that it is the only earned asset that never goes away.

World Class Beauty Queens: Tell us about your evening gown?
On the day of Grand Finale I walked the ramp in a beautiful designer ball gown from New York, setting a new tone of beauty and class together.

World Class Beauty Queens: Tell us about your amazing costume.
I represented the Peacock which is the national bird of India. It is a symbol of grace, joy, beauty, love and represents the very essence of Indian philosophy. My national costume was designed by very talented designer MANISHA DAGAR, who made me look beautiful in her best creation.

World Class Beauty Queens:  What is your onstage strategy to win the judges over?
There was no pre-planned strategy instead a blend of confidence, charisma, smile and sense of humor. It was just me.

World Class Beauty Queens: What makes you stand out from all those other beautiful girls?
I may not be as beautiful as others but I have courage to face any situation with rigor. My understanding of the subject builds my confidence to succeed and my sheer commitment to my decision builds my character. This is what makes my stand out.

World Class Beauty Queens: How did it feel to hear your name as the winner?
The feelings when my name was announced can never be explained but It was really emotive moment, with butterflies in stomach, fingers crossed and then the emotional outburst, moist eyes and you remember nothing but happiness.

World Class Beauty Queens:  What does the crown and sash symbolizes to you?
The crown not only signifies symbol of beauty but also responsibility towards the country from where you belong. It signifies beauty, stability and confidence of women around the world.

World Class Beauty Queens: What does it mean to you to be a Beauty Queen?
I feel more empowered with a strong sense of responsibility towards all, but especially for unprivileged who need a representative or an ambassador who can bring about change.

World Class Beauty Queens: Tell us about the 1st night welcome party.
In welcome party it was the very first interaction between all the contestants we got to know each other and exchanged our cultures. We introduced ourselves and pledged to work together for good causes and make this world a better place to live.

World Class Beauty Queens: Tell us about the trip to the water falls.
Trip to water falls was truly mesmerizing. I have always been a admirer of nature and it was a perfect tour in the lap of Mother Nature. Moreover the way we went around was highly coordinated activity where everyone was required to contribute and cooperate. I embrace every moment spent at water falls.

World Class Beauty Queens: Tell us about the cook off for the children.
In National Cook Off Round I chose to cook Indian delicacies like Vermicelli Kheer (Sweet Pudding) & Mix vegetable for 700 children from Balmaige School of Jamaica. It was truly a heart touching moment for all of us but for me it was something that I could very well relate with, since the state of affairs at Jamaica and certain parts of India are quite common.

World Class Beauty Queens: Tell us about the karaoke night.
It was fun filled night with lots of dance and music. Everyone was required to perform anything that depicts art and culture I chose to dance on Indian Punjabi folk music number and everybody liked it.

World Class Beauty Queens: What is your favorite memory form the 9 days you were there?
I enjoyed every moment at Jamaica and memories of those 9 day will be cherished forever, but the magical moment which can never be forgotten is the time when my name was announced as Ms United Nations and the crowning moment.

World Class Beauty Queens: Tell us about all the media press you received so far?
I received a lot of local and national press coverage through newspaper and digital platforms.   Apart from that there has been a lot of media coverage for guest appearances that I have been making to quite a lot of public events including schools, colleges, mass gatherings for Yoga, Nature conservation, events.

World Class Beauty Queens: Why do you think title of Ms United Nations is so respected in your country?
MUNP is a prestigious international event, bringing together representatives of wide range of communities and cultures from various countries to amalgamate and share common values.

World Class Beauty Queens: Competing in pageants its not always easy. What were some of your obstacles and how did you overcame them?
Obstacles or Hurdles are signs that you are on the right path and every small achievement means  you are one step closer to your goal. For me it was not a competition; it was a journey that led to the foundation of building my strong character.

World Class Beauty Queens: How did competing in pageants helped your life?
Pageants are a wonderful platform for recognizing charismatic and talented women and giving them a shot at their dreams. With regards to its impact on me the entire process from beginning to the end helped me groom and transform myself to become a better human being. It has impacted a lot on my attitude towards life.

World Class Beauty Queens: You are an inspiration to all the girls out there.  How does it feel?
First of all I will be really honored if people aspire to become someone like me but on the other hand I believe it’s great responsibility, thus I will begin my journey as an ambassador of hope and faith and do everything possible to make a significant difference to society as a whole.

World Class Beauty Queens: What are your plans for 2017/18 as a Queen?
I consider this title to be a supreme responsibility towards society and I wish to be the change ambassador for people across the globe. I plan to redirect all my efforts towards betterment of society and lead by example to multiply my efforts.

World Class Beauty Queens:  What kind of legacy do you want to leave behind?
As said by William Shakespeare “No legacy is so rich as honesty “.   I strongly believe in these values and want to be remembered for my honesty, principles and integrity.
