Roshni: Since i am representing India, My title is Mrs India United Nations
2017. India is a diverse country, where many religions live together, and despite of many other cultures, they all live in peace and harmony. I am glad that i am representing a country where everyone believes that unity is the key to success and India is definitely a successful country.
Roshni: I am a businesswoman by profession. My family and friends kept telling me that I have a good height and good face, therefore i must join a pageant. It was also a voluntary decision to get into the pageant along with pressure from friends and family. The biggest inspiration was the thought, that we women have so much talent in ourselves that we hardly like to explore. We are good in not just one single category, but multiple categories. We can not only cook but also walk the ramp and at the same time look glamorous too. This is all what inspired me to do pageants.
Roshni: Pageants for me is a platform where woman get recognition. Recognition, first in her own eyes that yes she is valuable. Secondly, recognition in her family that she is worth respecting for she can not just run her home, but also present herself on a stage in front of a lot of people and can speak too. Thirdly, recognition in her child’s or children’s eye that our mother is a superwoman, she not just makes us food, prepares us for school, make us study etc but also takes out time to live her dreams, because she has it in her. But more than these, for me its a platform where from it will be easier for me to fulfill my dreams and do works, know fellow contestants from other countries and spread charity related awareness etc which cannot be achieved being a normal person.
Roshni: To be very frank, i consider myself an achiever, rather than a winner. It is not necessary to win all the time, but its definitely important to achieve certain things in life. Its the experience and knowledge that you must gain. Because all winners are not always achievers, but all achievers could definitely be winners. This is my winning spirit.
Roshni: My platform is United Nations Pageants. This platform gives unmarried women the chance to come out of their boundaries and experience a wonderful world like this.I have had several appearances. I have judged two reality television shows. Judged three beauty pageants, also judged two national levels fashion show auditions. I have walked for many fashion shows as a showstopper. The recent was for the prestigious Fbb, Big Bazar. I was also invited as a special guest of honor for INIFD, Siliguri along with India’s top designers. I have been awarded as youth icon. Got two awards for women empowerment as well.
Roshni: The most exciting part for me is the talent round.Talent round is very colorful to me, because we get to see a lot of talents performing in one stage. May it be dancing, acting, singing etc. The performances are so beautiful and it becomes exciting with each performances.
Roshni: Of couse I plan to wear an exquisite gown design by a Delhi based famous designer Pooja Peshoria.
Roshni: I believe behavior is one of the keys to win people’s heart. My behavior will definitely speak a lot. And of course, rest the judges know everything regarding the participants through their work and activities.
Roshni: I have been practicing my pageant walk whenever possible. I make it a point that whenever i am walking I walk like I am walking on a ramp. This has become a routine. And it does’t seem to be a practice anymore. As its there in me already!
Roshni: I strongly believe in karma. You do good things, good things will come back to you. You do bad things, eventually bad things will happen to you. I walk on a path where I earn respect, where i spread happiness, where i help others. These qualities keep my self esteem high.
Roshni: I am a reader. I read newspapers, magazines and also follow social media’s a lot for current world updates.
Roshni: A crown to me is a feeling of a Queen. It reminds me of my hard work and sacrifices I have done. The crown gives me a prestigious place where people treat me like a queen and respects me for who I am. And most importantly it will keep reminding me the responsibilities that I have towards my community.
Roshni: It is my dream to establish an NGO in all parts of the world, where we can help the needy and poor people, educate them and give them a better life, raise fund awareness and show the world that a beautiful face also have a beautiful heart.
Roshni: A pen and a book can make a big difference in everyone’s life. It can educate terrorism, prostitution, gangsters etc. Therefore i would definitely like to educate as many people as i can along with carrying forward my NGO. This is the legacy i would leave behind.
Roshni: Earlier i was known as just a normal after competing in a national pageant, a lot of people know respect me for taking a courageous step after marriage. A lot of work which was pending got through because of my recognition that i got from the pageant. This is how competing pageants helped me achieve things in life.
