World Class Beauty Queens: What inspired you to do pageants?
My inspiration for pageantry started when my best friend entered and won a pageant. He spoke so highly of the pageant and how it impacted his life tremendously, it was right then, that sparks lit a fire within me which drove me to entering pageants.
World Class Beauty Queens: What do pageants mean to you?
In my opinion pageants are more than just entertainment consisting of colorful costumes and elegant gowns. It provides a medium where person such as myself are able to showcase their talent, passion and aspiration to the world in a welcoming atmosphere.
World Class Beauty Queens: What makes you a winner?
You are only a looser when you stop fighting. I am a winner because whenever life knocks me down I refuse to stay down, there is a saying I live by “…being able to cross the finishing line makes you a winner”.
World Class Beauty Queens: Please tell us about your platform, appearances and achievements.
I am charity driven; my platform is built on Volunteering and Youth empowerment(encouraging them that without self- confidence, they are defeated twice in the race of life). I am actively involved in the Raising a Nation Foundation which is a non-profit organization geared towards bettering todays’ youth for Tomorrow. I am also involved in independent charities and volunteers with organization such as the Hope Zoo Preservation Foundation. I have achieved several certificates and trophies from my secondary school for academic and Involvement, however I believe my greatest achievement thus far is self-actualization; finding my true worth, appreciating it and helping others to do the same.
World Class Beauty Queens: What part of the competition you find most exciting? The entire competition is very interesting, but I think the talent segment is most exciting being that it is where we express who we truly are in a creative fashion.
World Class Beauty Queens: What do you plan in evening wear competition?
My Evening wear would be an elegant flowing Royal blue Dress, which sweeps the ground in every step.
World Class Beauty Queens: What is your secret technique to connect with judges? My technique to answering the judges is through eye contact and pouring my heart into the answers for the questions I am giving, I believe nothing is greater than passion for what you do.
World Class Beauty Queens: How often do you practice your pageant walk?
I practice my pageant walk everyday on every straight line I see.
World Class Beauty Queens: How do you keep your self-esteem high?
My high self-esteem totally results from a collective effort of listening to motivational speakers, the support I get from my family and friends and the confidence from self-actualization.
World Class Beauty Queens: How do you stay up to date on current World events?
Staying up with current world affairs is a task however by watching Local and International News, Reading the Newspaper along with conversations about these events keeps me up to date on things happening in Jamaica and worldwide.
World Class Beauty Queens: What does the crown symbolizes to you?
This is a beautiful question; the crown to me symbolizes ‘triumph’, triumph over situations and circumstances which have limited me, the crown proves to me that I am really an overcomer.
World Class Beauty Queens: What do you plan to do if you win?
If am honored to be crowned I will be using this medium to widen my platform by increasing the number of lives that I will be able to touch with my message/story.
World Class Beauty Queens: What legacy would you like to leave behind?
My dreams always include leaving a mark on the world; it is my intention that one day some random person would walk up to me and say “because of you I didn’t give up”, that’s the legacy I want to leave behind.
World Class Beauty Queens: How did competing in pageants helped your life?
The United Nations Pageant (in particular) is instrumental in my growth and development as a young lady, its’ prestige and poise has certainly smoothen my rough edges.
